Students presently maintaining registration should access the course schedule and registration information online. Students who intend to maintain registration must choose for the subject MR--Maintaining Registration and register for the appropriate section via Highlander Pipeline. Students that have an outstanding balance who wish to maintain registration must email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name and NJIT ID number. Students enrolled in a degree program who find it necessary to temporarily discontinue their studies are permitted to maintain registration for a fee each semester they do not register. International students on F-1 and J-1 visa status may not maintain registration unless they have obtained prior written permission from the Office of Global Initiatives and Office of Graduate Studies.
Once instruction begins for a term, instructors can drop students who are not attending. If you feel like this drop was made in error, please contact your course instructor directly. To re-add into the course, if space is available and if it is prior to the term's add/drop deadline, contact email@example.com only after reaching out to your instructor. Students who do not attend class meetings during the first ten days of instruction (or the first four days of instruction during summer session) may be submitted by the instructor to be dropped from the class. Students who wish to be excused from attending class must gain permission from each instructor of the classes they expect to miss.
This amounts to approximately $12,159 of lost tuition for just this class. Even more interestingly, past registration data shows that that last winter, when the class was offered synchronously online, it had exactly 16 students enrolled, showing that CHEM 125 was more popular when students did not have to come to campus. Therefore, it simply makes financial and mathematical sense for NJIT to offer more of its winter classes online. 2b1af7f3a8
